Forget It Brother You Can Go At It Alone!

Today we celebrate the birth of Joe Strummer, the frontman of the greatest punk band ever and my second favorite band ever.

Here's a link to an article written by The Edge for Rolling Stone's feature on the 100 greatest bands/performers of all time on how the Clash influenced the work of U2.

A great tribute from the huffington post

When I walked in through the door, thought it was me I was looking for

I dedicate this post to Pete Townshend. I've always been really fascinated by the way his mind works, it's like he knows something the rest of us don't. Just so twisted and amazingly creative. There's a line in the movie "Almost Famous" that says: "I don't think anybody can really explain rock 'n' roll. Maybe Pete Townshend."

Gonna Show This Town, How To Kiss These Stars

Title is from "Manhattan" by Kings of Leon. I really wish that there was at least one good concert coming in the next few months besides U2. The closest I got was Muse and even then I don't like Muse all that much. I mean really? Who is going to pay good money to go see the Temptations or James Taylor and Carole King?! It really is a travesty.

So Alone I Keep the Wolves At Bay

Title is from "Train in Vain" by the Clash. I'm really dragging today and I hate the feeling. Monday just sucks after a three day weekend that was REALLY nice. I want to see Sherlock Holmes again really badly.
